2. Surfboard & Equipment Rental Policy

Surfboard & Equipment Rental

All rental equipment must be handled responsibly and returned in the same condition in which it was provided, excluding normal and reasonable wear.

Rental equipment may include, but is not limited to:

  • softboards,
  • hardboards,
  • shortboards (including high-performance surfboards),
  • longboards,
  • wetsuits,
  • fins,
  • leashes,
  • accessories,
  • and additional sports or watersports equipment.

Guests are fully responsible for all rented equipment during the rental period, including damage caused by misuse, negligence, improper transport, reef impact, loss, theft or use outside the participant’s skill level.

Damage to rental equipment may result in repair, replacement or depreciation charges.

Equipment Restrictions & Skill Level

Certain equipment categories may only be rented to participants with sufficient surfing ability and ocean experience.

We reserve the right to:

  • recommend alternative equipment,
  • refuse rental requests,
  • limit equipment access,
  • or terminate rentals if conditions or participant skill levels are considered unsuitable.

Performance-oriented equipment is intended for experienced surfers capable of handling the equipment responsibly and safely in the given ocean conditions.

Equipment Availability

Specific board models, dimensions or equipment types cannot be guaranteed and remain subject to availability, operational needs and equipment condition.

Equipment Checks

Guests are responsible for inspecting all rental equipment before use and must immediately report any existing damage prior to entering the water.

By accepting the equipment, the guest confirms that the equipment was received in acceptable condition unless otherwise documented.

Rental equipment condition may be documented through photographs, videos or written inspection records before and after the rental period.

Such documentation may be used to assess equipment condition, damage responsibility and applicable repair or replacement charges.

Normal Wear & Chargeable Damage

Normal wear refers to reasonable and unavoidable signs of regular use that do not affect the structural integrity, safety or performance of the equipment.

Examples of normal wear may include:

  • light superficial surface marks,
  • normal signs of use consistent with proper handling.

Chargeable damage includes any damage that affects the value, function, appearance or structural integrity of the equipment, including but not limited to:

  • pressure dings,
  • cracks,
  • punctures,
  • rail damage,
  • damaged fin systems,
  • chipped or broken fins,
  • water intrusion,
  • excessive deck compression,
  • impact damage,
  • heat damage,
  • reef damage,
  • or damage caused by improper transport, storage or handling.

The final assessment of equipment condition and applicable repair or replacement costs remains at our sole discretion.

Reef & Ocean Conditions

Participants acknowledge that surfing and watersports in reef environments involve increased risks for both personal safety and equipment damage.

Any equipment damage resulting from contact with reef, rocks or other natural hazards may be subject to repair or replacement charges.

Participants are responsible for choosing conditions appropriate to their skill level and for handling equipment responsibly in all ocean environments.

Fins & Accessories

Fins, fin systems and accessories are sensitive components and must be treated with particular care.

Scratches, cracks, chips, broken fins or damaged fin systems may result in partial or full replacement charges.

Lost fins, leashes or accessories will be charged at replacement value.

Equipment Transport & Storage

Participants are responsible for transporting and storing rental equipment safely and responsibly.

Equipment may not be:

  • transported unsecured,
  • exposed to excessive heat,
  • left for extended periods in direct sunlight,
  • stacked improperly,
  • or stored in a manner likely to cause damage.

Boards must be rinsed and handled with reasonable care after use.

Damage resulting from improper transport, storage or handling may result in repair or replacement charges.

Heat & Sun Exposure

Surfboards and watersports equipment are sensitive to excessive heat and prolonged sun exposure.

Leaving equipment in closed vehicles, direct sunlight or high-heat environments may cause serious structural damage.

Participants are fully responsible for any heat-related damage occurring during the rental period.

Late Returns

Rental equipment must be returned at the agreed return time unless otherwise approved in advance.

Late returns may result in:

  • additional rental charges,
  • partial or full extra rental days,
  • or cancellation of future rental privileges.

Equipment not returned within a reasonable timeframe may be considered lost.

Authorized Use Only

Rental equipment may only be used by the registered participant unless explicitly approved otherwise.

Participants remain fully responsible for all equipment assigned to them during the rental period.

Negligent Handling

Damage caused by clearly negligent handling, avoidable impact, unsafe transport or irresponsible equipment use may result in full repair or replacement charges.

Loss, Theft & Irreparable Damage

In cases of loss, theft or irreparable damage, guests may be held responsible for partial or full replacement value of the equipment.

Prohibited Use

Rental equipment may not be:

  • transferred to third parties,
  • used beyond the agreed rental period,
  • used in dangerous or unsuitable conditions beyond the participant’s ability,
  • intentionally misused,
  • or transported improperly.

We reserve the right to immediately terminate any rental agreement in cases of unsafe, negligent or irresponsible behavior.

Identification & Security Verification

Participants may be required to provide valid identification, contact information, accommodation details or payment security prior to receiving rental equipment.

We reserve the right to refuse equipment rental if adequate identification or security requirements are not provided.

Deposits

Security deposits may vary depending on:

  • equipment category,
  • board value,
  • rental duration,
  • wave conditions,
  • participant experience level,
  • and overall rental risk assessment.

Deposits may be collected in cash, electronically or through other approved payment methods.

Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend that all participants obtain appropriate travel, medical, accident and equipment damage insurance covering watersports and outdoor activities.

Participants remain fully responsible for any costs related to personal injury, medical treatment, rescue, evacuation, lost equipment or equipment damage unless otherwise covered by their personal insurance.

Rental Agreement Acceptance

By renting or using any equipment, participants confirm that they:

  • have read and understood the applicable rental terms,
  • accept responsibility for the equipment during the rental period,
  • acknowledge the risks associated with ocean sports and equipment use,
  • and agree to all applicable damage, liability and safety policies.

Written or digital confirmation may be required prior to equipment release.

Premium Performance Board Addendum

Premium surfboards are high-value performance equipment designed for experienced surfers and advanced surf conditions.

By renting premium equipment, the participant acknowledges and agrees that:

  • even minor impacts or pressure damage may reduce the board’s structural integrity, performance and value,
  • reef contact, improper handling or incorrect transport may cause significant damage,
  • fins and fin systems are highly sensitive components,
  • damage may not always be immediately visible,
  • repairability does not eliminate depreciation or value loss,
  • and repair charges may include labor, materials, replacement parts and depreciation costs.

Participants accept full financial responsibility for all damage occurring during the rental period, excluding documented pre-existing damage.

We reserve the right to determine whether equipment requires repair, replacement or temporary removal from service.

3. Surf Lessons, Guiding and Activities

General Participation

Participation in surf lessons, surf guiding, coaching sessions, watersports, outdoor and recreational activities involves inherent physical and environmental risks.

By participating in any activity, participants acknowledge and accept the risks associated with natural environments, outdoor conditions, ocean activities and recreational sports, changing weather conditions, waves, currents, reefs, rocks, marine life, physical exertion, transportation and the use of sports equipment.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical condition, swimming ability, experience level and personal limits prior to participation.

Ocean & Environmental Conditions

Ocean and weather conditions may change rapidly and unpredictably.

Activity locations, schedules, lesson plans and session durations may be modified, relocated, postponed or canceled at any time due to:

  • ocean conditions,
  • swell size,
  • currents,
  • tides,
  • wind,
  • weather,
  • safety concerns,
  • equipment conditions,
  • or participant ability levels.

We reserve the right to make operational and safety decisions at our sole discretion.

Surf Lessons & Coaching

Surf lessons and coaching sessions are designed to assist participants in improving technique, ocean awareness and overall surfing ability.

However, individual progression, wave conditions and learning outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Participants are expected to:

  • follow all safety instructions,
  • behave responsibly in and around activity areas,
  • respect surf etiquette,
  • communicate honestly regarding injuries, fears or limitations,
  • and use equipment appropriately.

Instructors may end or refuse participation in any session if a participant is considered unable to participate safely or responsibly.

Surf Guiding

Surf guiding services are intended to assist participants in accessing surf locations appropriate to prevailing conditions and participant ability.

Participants remain fully responsible for:

  • their own surfing decisions,
  • wave selection,
  • physical condition,
  • and their actions, decisions and conduct before, during and after activities, both in and out of the water.

Surf guiding does not eliminate the inherent risks associated with surfing, transportation to activity locations or natural outdoor environments.

Participants are expected to act responsibly, assess conditions carefully and remain within their personal ability level at all times, both in and out of the water.

Kitesurfing & Wind Activities

Kitesurfing, kite lessons and wind-related activities involve increased physical and environmental risks and require responsible behavior, situational awareness and appropriate physical ability.

Wind conditions, launch areas, ocean conditions and participant ability levels may change rapidly and may affect activity safety at any time.

Participants acknowledge that kiteboarding and wind sports involve elevated risks including, but not limited to:

  • loss of equipment control,
  • collisions,
  • lifting or dragging incidents,
  • strong wind conditions,
  • impact injuries,
  • equipment failure,
  • and hazards involving other ocean or beach users.

Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions and operational decisions at all times.

We reserve the right to:

  • modify,
  • relocate,
  • postpone,
  • refuse,
  • or terminate any wind-related activity due to safety concerns, weather conditions or participant ability.

Participants remain responsible for acting within their personal limits and for handling all equipment responsibly.

  • personal belongings,
  • and personal safety.

Certain activities may involve independent third-party providers, locations or equipment.

Operational details, locations and activity structures may vary depending on conditions, logistics, availability and safety considerations.

Mobile Activities & Transportation

Activities may take place at different locations depending on ocean conditions, weather, safety considerations and operational needs.

Transportation assistance or coordinated transport may occasionally be provided in connection with activities. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, transportation services may be operated by independent third parties.

Participants are responsible for:

  • arriving on time,
  • securing personal belongings,
  • and following all safety instructions during transport and activities.

We are not responsible for delays, route changes, weather interruptions or circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.

Equipment Use During Activities

Participants using rental or provided equipment during lessons, guiding or activities remain responsible for handling all equipment responsibly and in accordance with the applicable rental policies.

Participants may be held financially responsible for damage caused through negligence, misuse or use beyond their personal ability level.

Physical Condition & Medical Responsibility

Participants confirm that they are physically capable of participating in ocean and outdoor activities.

Any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies or physical limitations must be disclosed prior to participation.

We reserve the right to refuse participation if a participant’s physical condition or behavior is considered unsafe for the activity.

Participants remain responsible for all personal medical costs, treatment, evacuation or rescue expenses unless otherwise covered by personal insurance.

Minors

Participants under the age of 18 may only participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents or guardians remain responsible for:

  • the participant’s behavior,
  • equipment use,
  • physical condition,
  • and compliance with all safety instructions and policies.

Additional waivers or consent forms may be required for minors.

Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.

We are not responsible for:

  • lost,
  • stolen,
  • damaged,
  • or water-exposed personal items.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • phones,
  • cameras,
  • wallets,
  • passports,
  • jewelry,
  • surf accessories,
  • and other valuables.

Safety & Participant Conduct

Participants are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully toward:

  • instructors,
  • guides,
  • staff,
  • local communities,
  • other guests,
  • ocean users,
  • equipment,
  • and natural environments.

Unsafe, reckless, aggressive or irresponsible behavior may result in:

  • immediate removal from activities,
  • cancellation of bookings,
  • refusal of future participation,
  • or financial responsibility for resulting damages.

No refunds are guaranteed in such situations.

Alcohol, Drugs & Intoxication

Participation in activities while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other impairing substances is strictly prohibited.

We reserve the right to refuse participation to any individual considered impaired, unsafe or unable to participate responsibly.

Photography & Media

Photos or videos may be captured during activities for operational, safety or promotional purposes.

Participants may request not to appear in promotional content by informing us in advance whenever reasonably possible.

Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend that all participants obtain appropriate travel, medical, accident and sports insurance covering surfing, watersports and outdoor activities.

Participants remain fully responsible for:

  • personal injuries,
  • medical treatment,
  • rescue or evacuation costs,
  • lost or damaged personal belongings,
  • and equipment-related costs unless otherwise covered by personal insurance.

By participating in any lesson, guiding session or activity, participants acknowledge that:

  • ocean and outdoor activities involve inherent risks,
  • participation is voluntary,
  • no guarantee of conditions, progression or outcomes is provided,
  • and participants accept personal responsibility for their decisions, actions and conduct during all activities.

4. Third-Party Services & Activity Coordination

Third-Party Services & Independent Providers

In addition to services directly provided by us, we may assist guests in connecting with independent third-party providers for selected activities, services or experiences.

Such services may include, but are not limited to:

  • accommodation assistance,
  • airport or local transfer coordination,
  • boat trips,
  • whale or turtle watching,
  • fishing activities,
  • horseback riding,
  • diving or snorkeling experiences,
  • quad or buggy activities,
  • stargazing,
  • island experiences,
  • farm visits,
  • camping-related activities,
  • and other recreational, outdoor or lifestyle experiences.

Third-party services are independently owned and operated by external providers unless explicitly stated otherwise.

We may assist with:

  • recommendations,
  • scheduling,
  • communication,
  • coordination,
  • reservations,
  • activity combinations,
  • or general guest support.

However, we do not operate as a travel agency, tour operator, transportation provider or accommodation provider unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Independent Responsibility

All operational responsibility for third-party services remains solely with the respective independent provider.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • activity execution,
  • transportation,
  • equipment condition,
  • safety procedures,
  • insurance coverage,
  • staffing,
  • permits,
  • scheduling,
  • cancellations,
  • weather decisions,
  • and overall service delivery.

Participants acknowledge that separate terms, conditions, waivers or policies may apply to third-party services.

Combined Activities & Flexible Experiences

Certain activities, sessions or experiences may be combined, adjusted or coordinated based on:

  • ocean conditions,
  • weather,
  • logistics,
  • participant interests,
  • operational considerations,
  • or provider availability.

Combined experiences do not create a travel package, organized tour structure or joint operational responsibility between independent providers.

Each activity or service remains subject to its respective operator, conditions and limitations.

Accommodation & Transfer Assistance

We may assist participants with accommodation recommendations, booking coordination or transfer arrangements for guest convenience.

Accommodation and transportation services are generally operated by independent third parties unless explicitly stated otherwise.

We are not responsible for:

  • accommodation conditions,
  • transportation delays,
  • route changes,
  • cancellations,
  • lost belongings,
  • third-party scheduling issues,
  • or operational decisions made by external providers.

Payments & Third-Party Bookings

Payments for third-party services may be handled directly with the independent provider or, in certain cases, coordinated through us for guest convenience.

Regardless of payment method, operational responsibility for third-party services remains with the respective provider unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Availability, pricing, schedules and operational details may change without prior notice.

Liability Limitation for Third-Party Services

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for:

  • injuries,
  • losses,
  • damages,
  • delays,
  • cancellations,
  • operational failures,
  • acts or omissions,
  • or service-related issues arising from independently operated third-party services.

Participants voluntarily choose to participate in third-party activities and accept any associated risks.

Future Services & Operational Changes

Services, collaborations, activity structures and operational models may evolve, expand or change over time.

Additional activities, equipment categories, experiences or partnerships may be introduced without requiring modification of these general service descriptions.

5. Booking, Payment & Operational Terms

General Booking Structure

Bookings, reservations and activity requests may be arranged:

  • in person,
  • digitally,
  • through messaging platforms,
  • online,
  • verbally,
  • or in writing.

Due to the flexible and operational nature of ocean, outdoor and island-based activities, schedules, locations, timing and activity structures may vary depending on:

  • ocean conditions,
  • weather,
  • wind,
  • logistics,
  • transportation,
  • operational capacity,
  • participant ability,
  • equipment availability,
  • and overall safety considerations.

We reserve the right to make operational decisions and schedule adjustments whenever reasonably necessary.

Booking Confirmation & Reservation Priority

Certain activities, rentals, lessons or coordinated services may require:

  • advance payment,
  • deposits,
  • partial prepayment,
  • or booking confirmation

in order to reserve:

  • equipment,
  • instructors,
  • guides,
  • transportation,
  • operational time slots,
  • or third-party availability.

Some bookings may also be accepted without advance payment depending on operational circumstances and participant communication.

By confirming a booking, participants acknowledge that operational planning, staffing, transportation coordination, equipment preparation or reservation blocking may begin immediately.

We reserve the right to prioritize:

  • prepaid bookings,
  • confirmed reservations,
  • operationally committed participants,
  • or reliable repeat guests.

Pricing & Payment Methods

Pricing may vary depending on:

  • activity type,
  • duration,
  • equipment involved,
  • seasonal conditions,
  • operational logistics,
  • transportation requirements,
  • participant numbers,
  • or third-party coordination.

Payments may be accepted through selected approved payment methods, including:

  • cash,
  • bank transfer,
  • electronic payment,
  • or other approved arrangements.

We reserve the right to:

  • require specific payment methods,
  • request advance payment,
  • decline unsupported payment methods,
  • or withhold participation until outstanding balances are settled.

Participants remain responsible for any transfer fees, currency conversion costs or payment-related charges associated with their selected or available payment method.

Operational Flexibility & Activity Modifications

Ocean, wind, weather and outdoor conditions are inherently unpredictable.

Activities, schedules, lesson structures, locations, transportation arrangements or equipment selections may therefore be:

  • modified,
  • relocated,
  • shortened,
  • postponed,
  • combined,
  • rescheduled,
  • or canceled.

based on:

  • safety considerations,
  • surf conditions,
  • wind conditions,
  • currents,
  • visibility,
  • transportation conditions,
  • equipment concerns,
  • staffing,
  • operational logistics,
  • or provider availability.

Participants acknowledge and accept the flexible nature of ocean, outdoor and island-based operations.

Changes made for operational or safety reasons do not automatically entitle participants to refunds.

Whenever reasonably possible, alternative arrangements, rescheduling or activity adjustments may be offered.

Participant Cancellations & Booking Reliability

Participants are expected to communicate cancellations, delays or booking changes as early as reasonably possible.

Late cancellations, repeated short-notice changes, no-shows or unreliable booking behavior create operational losses and may affect:

  • operational planning,
  • equipment availability,
  • staffing,
  • transportation arrangements,
  • reserved activity slots,
  • third-party coordination,
  • and overall operational availability.

We reserve the right to:

  • prioritize other bookings,
  • require advance payment for future reservations,
  • apply reasonable cancellation charges where operational losses occur,
  • refuse future bookings,
  • or retain previously agreed deposits where applicable.

No-Shows & Late Arrivals

Participants who fail to appear at the agreed meeting point, pickup location or activity start time without reasonable notice may be considered a no-show.

Late arrivals may result in:

  • shortened sessions,
  • reduced activity time,
  • modified operational plans,
  • equipment reassignment,
  • or cancellation of participation.

Ocean conditions, transportation schedules and operational timing may not allow delayed activity starts.

Third-Party Services & External Providers

Certain activities, transportation arrangements, accommodations or experiences may involve independent third-party providers.

Such providers may apply separate:

  • booking policies,
  • cancellation terms,
  • payment requirements,
  • refund conditions,
  • operational structures,
  • or weather-related decisions.

Participants acknowledge that independently operated third-party services remain outside our direct operational control.

Refunds, credits or compensation related to third-party services remain subject to the respective provider’s policies and decisions unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Force Majeure & Circumstances Beyond Control

We are not responsible for cancellations, delays, interruptions or operational changes caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • extreme weather,
  • ocean conditions,
  • natural events,
  • transportation disruptions,
  • medical situations,
  • government restrictions,
  • equipment failure,
  • infrastructure limitations,
  • strikes,
  • or other unforeseen operational circumstances.

Refund Considerations

Refunds, credits, rescheduling options or operational adjustments may be considered depending on:

  • notice period,
  • operational preparation already completed,
  • staffing commitments,
  • transportation arrangements,
  • third-party obligations,
  • weather and safety considerations,
  • participant communication,
  • and overall booking circumstances.

Refund decisions remain at our reasonable operational discretion unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Participant Responsibility

Participants are responsible for:

  • arriving on time,
  • reviewing booking details,
  • maintaining valid contact information,
  • communicating relevant changes,
  • preparing appropriately for activities and environmental conditions,
  • and acting responsibly throughout all operational interactions.

Failure to do so may affect participation eligibility, operational scheduling or future booking acceptance.
